As per the schedule based on your flight arrival you will take the 30 – 40 minute transfer to Maafushi Island where you will spend the next 4 Nights/ 5 days. Upon your arrival at Maafushi Island, a hotel representative will greet you & assist you with your luggage. Check into your lovely room at Liyela Retreat and relax or explore the island! Standard check in time begins from 2pm on the day of arrival.
After breakfast you based on the daily schedule of the island you will be taking your first 3 dives in the best dive sites in Male Atoll. Out of which one will be the Kuda Giri Wreck. The site of consists of a cargo boat wreck which is adjacent to a small thila. The experience is better enhanced with the local professional dive guides who will be guiding you with every dive. The 3 dives covered this day are al of intriguing marine life exploration where you will see octopuses, lionfish as well as frogfish and if you are in luck some nudibranchs as well.
The highlight of the third day would be the 2nd day of diving in the other prominent dive sites in the Maldives. There will be a healthy gap between next day dive which is considered necessary by PADI. The 2nd day dive sites will include the Kandooma Thila located north of Kandooma Island, a beautiful at the bottom of a channel with its reef descending to a 40m depth. The colourful and soft coral of the other dive sites which will be covered within the same day will be equally breathtaking. Upon returning you can explore the local communities, the local cuisine and even be part of a local island BBQ.
The final few dives would be highlighted around the Guraidhoo Corner is one of the unique attractions hosting multiple marine life species with the incoming currents. Divers can either drift with the current or end the dive vertically and whichever way you proceed you are most likely to spot eagle rays, grey reef sharks and whitetip sharks. Upon returning to the hotel you are at your leisure to enjoy a sunset cocktail or go snorkeling or absolutely anything your mind feels like.
After breakfast the hotel representatives will help you with your transfer back to the jetty and to Male to reach the airport well ahead in time for your departure flight.
